An excellent intro to digital photography
Pogue covers all the aspects of taking excellent pictures, improving them, saving them on your computer, and sharing them . He constantly comes up with tips to make everything about digital photography more fun and efficient. Writing with a sense of humor makes the book very readable and the pictures makes it easy to see just what he means. This is a very interesting, comprehensive read and highly recommended. I'd read it before buying a new camera.
Well writtent, but FULL OF ERRORS
I bought this book based on the many positive reviews on Amazon, and I found it useful with a readable, engaging style.
But it is FULL OF MISTAKES that should have been caught before it went into print, and will confuse many readers, especially beginners. This book is way below the standard of excellence set by other books in the Missing Manual series.
